This insanely adorable baby only has eyes…and words for mama.

What about your baby? Were they team mama or team dada?
If your baby did, in fact, say dada first, there’s a logical explanation for it.
Until baby is around 6-9 months old, they view themselves as being one with mama. How insane is that!? They are so closely connected to their mama, that they don’t even see the separation. They literally veiw themselves as being fused together with mama.
That’s why babies often go through a stage of separation anxiety around the 6-9 month mark. This is when they typically start to understand that mama is a separate being.
Dada is typically the first person baby recognizes outside of mama. Therefore, it’s pretty common that baby will say dada first. Try not to take it personally.
In fact, you can be proud of the fact that baby has built a secure, safe foundation with dada. So much, in fact, that they recognize dada as the only other valuable person in the world besides mama. What an honor!
In this incredibly adorable video, dada tries so hard to get baby to say dada. After reading a book and inserting the word dada into every page, dada is hopeful, but baby still only has eyes and words for mama.
I laugh every time I watch it. I hope it brings a smile to your face today!
