Strawberry season is one of my favorite times of the year. It’s a good thing we are in the thick of the season because my toddler has decided strawberries are his favorite food of the moment. These 3 genius strawberry hacks blew my mind and will do the same for you!

Best Strawberry Cleaning Hack
I am embarrassed to say I’ve been cleaning my strawberries for years simply by running them under tap water. After seeing this hack, I’ve completely changed my strawberry washing ways.
First, place strawberries in a bowl and cover with a layer of baking soda.
Next, fill the bowl with water, and watch the fizzy magic happen. The dirt simply dances off the fruit!
After you’ve let the baking soda sizzle for awhile, put the berries in a colander and rinse well with water.
Voila! Your super clean strawberries are ready to be enjoyed.
Best Strawberry Hack For Longer Lasting Strawberries
Do your strawberries start growing fuzz after just a few days in the fridge? Unfortunately, mine do. Or at least they did before I learned about this amazing hack that makes strawberries last for weeks!
Grab your strawberries, and put them in a bowl. Fill the bowl with water and 1/4 cup distilled white vinegar. Use your phone to set a timer for 2 minutes. Let the berries soak in the vinegar for those 2 minutes.
When the timer goes off, put the berries in a colander, and rinse very well. Lay the strawberries on a towel to dry. While the berries are drying, get a large glass jar and place a paper towel at the bottom of the jar. Ensure the strawberries are completely dry before putting them in a jar.
Place them in the fridge and watch them stay perfectly pristine for weeks!
Best Strawberry Hack For De-stemming
This hack rocked my world and is breaking the Internet right now. Hold on, it’s going to rock your strawberry loving world.
Cutting off the stems of strawberries always made my heart drop a little because it always meant sacrificing some bits of delicious strawberry flesh. Sure, I did my best to cut off the smallest portion of the berry, but berry bits were lost no matter how close I cut to the stem.
The alternative to cutting the stem is to pluck the leaves off but then your left with that weird little pointy bit on the top of the berry.
This de-stemming hack has changed my life, and it will most certainly change yours, too.
Grab a straw and some clean berries. Simply place the tip of the straw on the bottom of the strawberry, shove it through the berry until it pops out the other side, taking the stems off with it. It all happens in one fell swoop, and you can even eat the perfectly round and circular strawberry flesh from the straw.
Absolutely genius.
Conclusion
I hope these strawberry hacks make your life a little brighter and enable you to enjoy your strawberries longer. It’s going to be a sweet, sweet spring and summer!
