Sweetest Little DIY Flower Shop Activity For Your Toddler

Oh my gosh, I don’t know if you are ready for the cuteness you are about to witness. This little DIY flower shop activity for toddlers is oozing with adorable magic. It is equally delightful for me, and I’m a grown adult! I might just have to make two, one for my son and one for me! I hope you love this as much as we do!

How To Make The Flower Shop

The base of this activity includes a large piece of cardboard, so have a look around your home and find a decent sized cardboard box. Cut down the box to create a few square sheets of cardboard. Ensure the square is large enough to draw a little flower shop, but not so large that little hands can’t easily carry it around.

I suggest making multiple cardboard flower shops because your little one will surely want to keep collected little flowers and grasses and put them in the holders.

Before we begin the construction process, gather the following items:

  • Cardboard box
  • Scissors
  • Egg carton (non plastic type)
  • Sharpie
  • Glue (can use liquid glue or hot glue gun)
  • Crayons, markers, decorations for the flower shop

As mentioned above, cut down the cardboard box into smaller squares. On each square, use a sharpie to draw a little flower shop. See the photo below for an example, but also use your own creative ideas to draw a flower shop of your own. The flower shop can be as simple or elaborate as you’d like.

Next, take the egg carton and cut the egg wells out as well as some of the cones in between the egg wells. This way, you’ll have two different types of flower holders.

Cut the egg wells and cones in half and glue onto the flower shop. A glue gun will be your fastest option here, but liquid glue will do the job just as well.

After you’ve got the flower holder securely in place, you can further decorate the flower shop with markers, crayons, stickers, etc. Or leave it as is! That’s also ok!

Now, it’s time for the flower hunt!! Equip your little one with child safe scissors and go with them on a flower hunt, filling each little holder with sweet flowers, grasses, sticks, whatever they find delightful.

How adorable is that??? I know your little one is going to want to fill the holders over and over again.
