EASIEST 2-Ingredient Ice Cream For Toddlers

Does your toddler love ice cream as much as mine does? I don’t mind the occasional scoop here and there, but his little body just goes nuts with that liquid sugar. This amazing recipe has just 2 ingredients, making it the easiest and healthiest ice cream for toddlers. You can definitely give this to your littles every day without feeling guilty!

Just 2 Ingredients!

I’ve actually been eating this ice cream for years. All you need is bananas and cream. To be honest, I just learned about adding cream to the mix. I’ve always just used bananas, but the cream definitely adds a nice touch. If you don’t have cream or Greek yogurt, you can just use bananas.

Ok. Enough teasing. Let’s get straight to it. I hate those articles that make you read an entire novel before finding the recipe.

You will need the following items for this magic ice cream:

  • 2 frozen ripe bananas
  • 1/8 cup cream (or Greek yogurt)

That’s it!! You’ve most likely already got those two things. Wahoo! Ice cream is right around the corner.

Let’s Make Ice Cream!

Now that you have your frozen bananas and cream, let’s whip up some ice cream. This process really is like magic. You’ll see!

Take a food processor, put the bananas in the bowl, and turn on low. The bananas will turn into tiny bits and will stick to the sides. Simply take a spatula and scoop off the sides every now and then. Add in 1/8 cup cream while the bananas are being processed.

Eventually, the bananas and cream will turn into the most heavenly consistency, exactly like soft serve ice cream.

That’s it! Voila! I guarantee you will have this treat on repeat.

If, by chance, you need to store some of the left overs (who are we kidding…there will never be left overs), put the banana ice cream in an air tight container and store in the freezer.

Make It Extra Fancy

As if the the ice cream itself isn’t amazing enough, you can take things up a notch by adding a chocolate shell. Wowzers!

Put 1/2 cup chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl with 1 tbsp coconut oil. Microwave for 20 seconds. Stir the chocolate and coconut oil together until smooth.

Drizzle the chocolate on top of the ice cream. Place in the freezer until the shell has hardened. It’s SO GOOD!!

Moms, I know this ice cream is called ice cream for toddlers, but I won’t tell if you eat most of it. 😉
