Is there anything better than a wonderfully ooey gooey crispy treat? For me, this snack is so directly related to childhood and core memories of joy. I loved making these with my mom. This toddler-friendly recipe for peanut butter crispy treats is a bit of a healthier version of the original as it is not laden with sugary marshmallows. Not that there’s anything wrong with that once in awhile, but this recipe is one you’ll feel good about giving your toddler!

Peanut Butter Crispy Treat Recipe

This recipe is so amazingly quick and easy. It won’t take more than 10 minutes, and you only need 3 simple ingredients. Can you believe it? Now let’s make some delicious peanut butter crispy treats!
Here’s what you’ll need:

- 4 cups crispy cereal (we love this crispy rice cereal)
- 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- Square pan
- Parchment paper
Let’s get to work!
In a small, microwave-safe bowl, mix the peanut butter and honey together. Make sure the mixture is completely smooth.
Pro-tip: to ensure peanut butter/honey mixture is completely smooth, microwave them together for 20 second increments, stirring after each session until completely smooth.
Pour the smooth mixture over 4 cups of crispy cereal and stir until cereal is well coated.
In a parchment paper lined square pan, press the coated cereal firmly into the pan until you have an even layer. Refrigerate overnight, cut into squares, and ENJOY!
