About Me

Hi there! My name is Julie Jung. I’m a Jesus-loving, stay-at-home mom to my wild rainbow baby boy, Isaiah. I’ve done a lot of different things in my life, but becoming a mom, has been BY FAR the craziest experience to date. Talk about a massive learning curve, right?! No one ever told me it was this crazy!

I love babies and kids. A lot. I have a masters in early childhood education and taught in various educational settings in the US, China, and Germany for a total of 12 years. I also love travel. Teaching was a great way to see the world.

The road to motherhood was very difficult for me. When we first started trying in 2018, we experienced two losses, the first of which was completely horrific as it happened in the second trimester of pregnancy. That first loss turned the mama switch on in my brain, and getting pregnant/having a baby became my obsession.

I eventually fell pregnant with my rainbow baby in 2021 while living in Germany, and we moved to Australia (at 29 weeks pregnant!) at the end of 2021. By the way, I do not recommend moving countries at 29 weeks pregnant.

On January 18, 2022, I birthed my beautiful goober of a boy in Melbourne, Australia. For the most part, I was alone in my process of figuring out what the heck just happened in my life. I had no idea what I was doing, and people weren’t exactly rushing to my side to help me figure it out.

Google became my best friend, but I just didn’t feel good about a lot of the mainstream advice I found. Most of the suggestions went against my maternal instincts and left me feeling like I was doing it all wrong, when, in fact, I was doing the best thing I could do: listening to my mama gut and doing what I felt was best for me and Isaiah.

I love being a stay-at-home mom, but it’s also extremely isolating and overwhelming at times. I wouldn’t trade this time with my son for anything, but it’s not easy.

My faith is also so important to me, and I want to raise my son in a way that He knows about the goodness and faithfulness of God. Raising children who are grounded in Truth and Love is vital as we live in a world that seems to spin more and more in a direction that doesn’t celebrate truth and freedom.

My goal is to create a community of like minded, SAHM mamas who love Jesus and want to raise babies who love Jesus. You will find resources here that will help you along the way: encouraging articles, easy recipes, inspiring stories, preschool at home resources, etc.

I send out a daily newsletter (or almost daily…mom life gets in the way some days) full of free resources and mama encouragement. If you’re not getting that yet, sign up below.

Welcome to the mama village. I’m so glad you’re here!
